Tuesday Motivation

Good morning, girls!
I hope you're having a great day :)

Something I heard yesterday that I really like is just a rumination about how we spend our days, how we live our lives, asking ourselves if we're living life alive.... Sadly I can't find the exacty saying online....but it goes something like this....

Today is a new day. It is a gift. Tomorrow it will be history. Think of the price that you will have paid for it. You will have paid the invaluable price of a day of your life.

Your lives are infinitely valuable. You deserve to be happy in it, you deserve to be the you that you want to be. You deserve to spend your life in beauty and confidence.

I hope you beautiful ladies all make it a great day today :) Live Life Alive!

This quote kinda makes me think of a different but similar one.

Yesterday is the past. Tomorrow is the future. Today is a GIFT and that is why we call it the present.

We have the power to decide if we are going to live today to the fullest we can at the present. Lately I have been on an emotional roller coaster and still working on things but to help stay positive and alive I made a list of things I would like done around the house and when I get into or feel a funk coming on I look at the list and go to work. The feeling of getting something accomplished is sooooo much better then being funky. Just a thought :)

I'm Amy. I'm in my mid 30s and married with pets. I work 5 nights every 2 weeks as a critical care nurse, and I my own business with Arbonne. I will be completing my first Triathlon during this challenge, and I'm really excited about it! My goal for this challenge is to figure out why with all of my training, I'm still struggling to lose the pounds. At the end of the challenge, I will be treating myself to 1 new song from itunes for each pound lost, and a new charm for my pandora bracelet when I hit 10 pounds.

I'm an almost 34 year old mother of 3 adorable and high energy boys, and wife of almost 10 years! I live in NWI, I'm a stay at home mom, part home business owner, cub scout den leader, and youth girls camp director! My life is busy! I've hit the wall, so to say, with my weight, and I need to make some changes! My favorite workout is Zumba, but I also love step aerobics and I want to play tennis and rollerblade when it gets warmer outside. My favorite healthy snack is Wheat Thins Fiber Selects with Laughing Cow cheese. My goal is to lose 30 pounds total, but not all in one challenge. I would like to lose at least 15 before my 10 year wedding anniversary in April! My reward will be just knowing I did it and having my husband think I'm sexy again! (and maybe a new outfit!)

My name is Cadie, I'm in my mid 30s and live in Portland, OR. I'm a hospice social worker. My favorite workout is dancing, but I would like to be able to run a 5k. I've been trying to think of my favorite healthy snack, but all my favorite snacks aren't sounding very healthy....that must be part of my problem! I guess I will have to choose an apple with almond butter as one of my favorite healthy snacks. When I reach this goal my reward will be a facial at my favorite day spa.

I'm Cherise and I'm 39 years old in Missouri. I'm a stay-at-home-mom of 4 and also work from home as a digital scrapbooking product designer. My favorite workout is water aerobics. My favorite healthy snack is a Gala apple. My goal for this challenge is to lose 10 pounds and I'm having a hard time coming up with a reward for that. I don't want new clothes yet (I've got plenty in varying sizes!). I liked the idea that someone else posted about having a long uninterrupted bubble bath. I've got a nice jetted tub that I never use and that sounds like a fun reward!

Thirty something mom of 2 looking to finally drop that baby weight and get back to the weight I was when I got married 8 years ago. This is my first 10 in 6 challenge. I have a full time desk job. My favorite snack is almonds. I don’t know if I love the working out, but I am currently doing Pilates and the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred video. Once I lose this weight, I plan to feel comfortable in a new swimsuit I will be wearing when I finally see the ocean for the first time.

Trying to get back to what I was 4 years ago when I met my husband. Hoping to reach my ultimate goal by May 2010. If I hit my 10lbs in 6 weeks I will be just a couple pounds below my pre pregnacy weight! I'm going to reward myself with a couple new outfits and a new suit for my water aerobics class!

I have four daughters (three at home and one in college in Hawaii), two dogs (a weimie and a frenchie), and a husband who's stationed in Japan for two years without us. My goal right now is be active and to lose 10 pounds in six weeks. I like working out at the YMCA--30 minute cardio and then weight machines for 30-40 minutes. My favorite healthy snack in the whole world is bites of fuji apple and cashews together in my mouth at the same time. Hi my name is Kim, Nicole's sister in law, I'm 40 & live in UT. I am happily married with 4 amazing kids and a wonderful step daughter who just made me a grandma this last January! I am a full time stay at home mom and grandma and I absolutely love it! A couple of years ago I lost 50 lbs which was very life changing for me and a very proud moment in my life. I am sad to say that I have gained 15-20 lbs back and I am looking for some motivation to get back on track again! Nicki told me about this group so I am hoping that this is the kick in the butt that I need! My favorite workout is pilates, water aerobics, walking/hiking and bike riding. Hi all, I’m Leah, 23 in WI. I live with my boyfriend and dog Charlie. I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin and now have full-time office job. I really need to lose my added college weight and now the extra couple of lbs added. My favorite exercise would have to be biking and hiking. My favorite healthy snack is yogurt or jello. My ultimate goal is to get back to my pre-college weight which means losing 20lbs total. I have been eating healthier, and now I need a kick in the butt to get active. My goal is to be able to run 1 mile without dying, as running is not my favorite activity. When I hit my 10lb initial goal I will finally fit into the size 6 jeans I bought but have been unable to fit into.

I'm Marnie and I live with my sweet pup in Madison. I spend a lot of time with friends but a LOT of time at a desk at work and LOVE food. I really like celery and peanut butter and edemame as healthy snacks. My favorite work out has to be a solid run on a treadmill, jamming PINK as loud as possible or I recently learned playing kickball on ice will utilize muscles I didn't know I had! I am 32. Live in WI with my pom pup, Lola, and meow, Boo. I have a full-time year round desk job and a seasonal part-time desk job in the winter. That is a lot of sitting around and a lot of eating what I can quick on the run. I have 2 goals that I would like to accomplish: #1 completely revamp my eating habits by eating more "green" and #2 learn to enjoy running. At some point I would like to be able to run a marathon. I want to be able to experience that euphoric, addictive runners high that I hear about from all my runner friends. Right now, I would just be happy not getting winded walking up the stairs. My reward for this challenge will be a mani/pedi.

I have been on this journey of becoming healthy physically and discovering that I am also growing mentally and emotionally healthy. I am enjoying the thrill of setting goals and achieving them. Being active and working up a sweat have become a need! I just don't feel as good without my workout. I am always interested in trying new great food so keep all the amazing suggestions up. I have about 15 pounds to my end goal!!! When I achieve that I will be buying 2 great looking jeans!! Any suggestions on where to go shopping??

I'm Nicki, 35 year old mom of four and STILL looking to lose around 25 pounds! I've done several of these ten in six rounds and I'm determined to actually make my goal of 10 pounds! It's going to be this round, I can feel it! :) I enjoy cycling, running, and the occasional dvd workout. I'm getting a new running group up and running in my new area (I just moved) and am very excited about having that extra push to get me out! I love fresh fruit and veggies for snacking.
