Good morning, ladies! Check out this article on losing weight during stressful times and let me know what you have planned for this weekend to "calm your mind."
Stress and Weight Gain
This was my favorite part: "If you're facing twin battles against stress and weight, calming your mind should be your first priority, Gluck says. "Addressing stress would be more effective than going on a diet," she says."
Keep up the hard work thoughout the weekend! You ladies all push me to do my best :) Thanks for everything!

I plan on a fabulous nap on Saturday late afternoon after a wonderful run that morning to catch up on sleep a bit, and I plan on doing nothing but relaxing family things on Sunday afternoon. Yoga and meditation help me work through my chaotic thoughts. Love your body after a good workout!
ReplyDeleteOh, I also wanted to share my excitement about last night- I fit into my smallest pair of jeans and they buttoned up just fine!!! They're from 7 years ago, my freshmen year of college, and I've hung onto them for so long b/c they are SO worn in and full of memories. I'm glad I did! So for the next 10 in 6, I already have my goal set of buying a new even SMALLER pair of jeans when I hit my goal :) So excited about this you have no idea!
ReplyDeletethat's awesome, Sarah. I gave away my favorite pair of jeans because I swore my hips would never go back to where they were from before I had kids. I have to say that I am close though to having my hips be where they were though- so I'm happy to say that I was kind of wrong. yay!
ReplyDeleteWAY TO GO SARAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny you mention this because I have a pair of skinny jeans that I bought as an incentive for me to lose and tone to fit into. I have been wearing them off and on the last few weeks but have had that little muffing top so I have chosen to wear a bagger shirt with it. NOT TODAY!! I put those babies on with a cute tighter black shirt with a cute lacy cami underneath and it looks GREAT!! I have already gotten some compliments from some gals at work. I feel good knowing that I look good in what I am wearing and don't have to hide under the looser shirt!! Good luck everyone!!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to sleep in a bit tomorrow, hopefully I stay asleep until 8:30ish. Regardless, no alarm clock buzzing so that will feel good!
ReplyDeleteI will do a little gardening and yard work, which is something I enjoy; it's calming to be outside and satisfying to see the beautiful results!
There isn't much better than fitting into something you love and looking fabulous in it! :) Great job you guys!!! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat article! I agree about taking care of stress before trying to lose weight. It reminds me of the Biggest Loser and how many times Bob tells people that it won't matter how hard you work, or how well you eat, you can still gain from too much stress.
ReplyDeleteI had such a treat yesterday (I'm posting on Sat.)! I went to the Oprah Winfrey Show!! It was amazing! I remember looking around me at all the beautiful people, Oprah included of course. It seemed like they were all happy and taking care of thier bodies. Going to Oprah is a great stress reliever! This challenge has been great ladies. I look forward to seeing you all on here with the next one!
